I've seen Rae, NicoleB, and Sylvie post already! Miss you all, lovelies, and I hope to see you all some more after the sale is over.

Any other long-lost friends lurking on the forum today? I'd love to hear from you!

(Hope it's ok that I'm posting this in the NAS category!). As for the sale itself, nothing has hugely popped out at me yet online. The teal Lafayette leather moto is tempting but not almost-$700 tempting.

Long winded explanation:

I tend to be all-in or all-out with whatever I'm focused on at the moment and I spent a good part of my free time last year educating myself on personal finance. Needless, to say, this somewhat curtailed my clothing purchases.

I've been able to mostly keep up my wardrobe with a big refresh at NAS and smaller refreshes no more than twice/year. I'm no longer tracking CPW but mark rarely worn purchases in my budget spreadsheet at the end of the year. I've been more attracted to neutrals/dark colors instead of every color of the rainbow which has the happy side effect of making the wardrobe easier to mix and match.

Aw it is nice to be welcomed. I have been a bit like Sylvie, hyper focused on work and lacking the mental energy left over for forum participation. I lurk and am able to quickly comment on FB when I see ylf ers there. Feels good to be home for this YLF holiday.

I haven't been on the forum in months and months but I expect I'll be here for the NAS. Been looking at possibilities this morning. Trying to decide whether I should become a cardmember or take my chances on waiting until the sale opens to the public.

I always feel very guilty popping my head out only around NAS. But work tends to leave me exhausted, and NAS coincides with my summer break, giving me time and mental energy to check in. It's really nice to see so many old and new faces!

Marianna, it's great to see you! I hope you find some fabulous things at the same this year.

Jenny, I have the nordies store card and it's super low commitment. I don't actually use it too often (because for online purchases I get better rewards with my other visa) but I do use it for NAS and sometimes in the b&m store. I like the alterations bonus too.

Beth, NAS is a fun vacation activity, isn't it? I happen to be on vacation right now, a very chill one in the mountains, so I've had a lovely, leisurely time browsing the sale site (although the down side is that there's no physical location anywhere near here, unfortunately).

*raises hand* I haven't been on the forum in ages, though every once in a while I pop in to see what's going on.

I'm getting ready for my NAS appointment with Angie on Sunday (yay!) so I thought I'd check in here to do a little recon first. It is like a YLF holiday isn't it?! I love the new section just for NAS.

I haven't been on much because clothes shopping has taken a back seat to furniture shopping - still working on getting the new house decorated. Which is fun, but a big drain on the wallet! My recent clothes purchases have mostly just been running gear, so I'm looking forward to picking up some fun stuff on Sunday! Good to see everyone!

Hi everyone! I'm lurking around in the corners, too! I haven't been on in a long time -- medical issues and a need to keep my wardrobe budget in line have kept me fairly quiet, especially on the forums -- though I do pop in here and there to read Angie's blog posts and check to see what people are up to. It's lovely to "see" you all, and to check out NAS. I'm not overly wowed by the sale this year. I guess that's a good thing! I have a few things in my basket (I'll try to post them in my finds later), but I think I may just wait for Angie to do her special NAS posts. xoxo

Hello, Diana!

Yes, I've been absent from the forums. Only able to check Angie's blog about once a week or so. But I hope to finish all this post-graduate malarky by the end of the summer (report to funder, additional fieldwork and data analysis, three scholarly articles, a 150 page manuscript ...). I aim to post my second WIW on or about a year after my first! Mid-August, I think.

But I'm taking the weekend off from writing and expect to post something NASty. Please let me know what you think.

Diana, today I actually went to Nordstrom and bought stuff. BOUGHT STUFF. (My wardrobe is full of holes, but I'm having a tough time being in the mood to shop this past year...) I'll actually make a fashion report here in a bit.

This thread is like a big, fuzzy hug. Hello to everyone! Such a blast to see so many familiar faces resurfacing. I saw Nancylee around here recently, which was a lovely surprise. Also Julie (RoseandJoan) was online a couple of weeks ago. I love that I, and so many others, always manage to find our way back to YLF no matter how long we're away.
