Look what I see on the Gap site: new legging jeans. Available in S, M, and L.

Oh oh. This does not sound like a fit made in heaven.

Suz, worth a try but they look different from last year ones. I am afraid this sizes mean they are more like leggings than jeans...

Exactly, Sveta. It does not bode well for those of us who prefer a more jean-like fit and fabric. I am not happy about it.

I'm dubious. I really dislike their lightweight fabric because it shows every bump and bulge.

"Forever stretch"? Terrible name, for one thing. And the crotch and fit of these new ones look worse even on the model. I hope they bring the other ones back!

I wish Gap would stick with one idea at a time. I love the legging jeans I bought last year. But apparently, it's time for something new--cheaper fabric! What do you think of this color--"dark scrape?"

Haha. Your comment on the sizing cracks me up. Should I be embarrassed to say I bought a pair of jeggings last year. So far, they've only shown up under boots and with long tops. Hubs loves them though.

Too stretchy, these definitely look like leggings. The thing that made me want to buy a second pair of the other ones was that they really look like jeans.

Una, I hope you are right!! On the Canadian website and in the store, it's just the fall stuff, whatever's left, and these new monstrosities. I was really hoping to get a pair of leans for tucking into boots....but not these ones!

I just found two pair of the last season leggings on Ebay and snapped em up just in case. $12 and $20 shipped. If you sort your search by newly listed, then save your search, it will email you every time a new pair is listed within your search parameters.

What about these? QueenMum shared this one (Democracy jeans) and I bought a pair at Nordstrom, following her review, and really like them. I wore them on the plane this week and they're really comfortable:

I have them in black and red and they are great jeans. The dark wash looks really similar to the gap jeggings.

I am wearing my normal size 4P in the black but had to size up to 8P in the red. Inconsistent sizing much, ON? Well you can order multiples and return to your local store if you have to.

Do read the reviews, because they run large, and I had to get a 0, instead of my GAP 2 or 4. They look as good as they do in the photo, but the one caveat is that the waist is a bit big. There are belt loops (I haven't used a belt yet), but I notice I do pull them up every once in a while, not often. But, I do love them. Maybe queen mum will share her experiences here. Hope this helps!

Vicki, thank you for that link. DUH! I started that thread, too! And was participating but somehow missed Queen Mum's link, or maybe decided I couldn't use it since we don't have Nordie's in Canada. They DO look like good jeans.

Una, the coloured ones are basically all gone from the store and online store in Canada. They have a few odd sizes...not mine.

I might try the Rock Star from ON. I was disappointed in my Gap Always Skinnies tonight. They bagged out at the knees right away. Maybe I bought them too big? GRRRRRR.
