New big issue with me is something I just discovered--this has to do with proportion of an outfit, but also with ones legs. This is the amount of space between tops of booties, shoes with ankle straps, gladiators, etc. and the length of pants or skirts. With all the high ankle footwear it is not easy to figure out what goes with what. Since I am not blessed with the best legs, and am a bit leggy for my height, when I try the shoes or sandals with any bottoms be it rolled, or not, except for ankle pants, I am mostly not happy with the look. My legs look either fat, bowed or something. Then I put on the loafers, sandals without ankle straps, flats or pumps I am happy with the look.

Looks like all this higher ankle footwear is for ladies with nicely shaped legs. seems to me it just calls attention to the bare leg, when I think one wants it to call attention to the shoes...
