Amsterdam shopping

This question was originally for Inge or Angie but maybe others have enjoyed shopping in Amsterdam. We will be in Amsterdam for several days and I'd like to do some shopping. It always seems as if Angie/Inge always find darling items on their shipping trips in Amsterdam. I was wondering if someone might be able to recommend a few favorite shopping spots. Thank you@

De Negen Straatjes (the Nine Streets) is a great place to start -- wandering around there is a lot of fun, it's picturesque, and there are cool little boutiques of all kinds. PC Hooftstraat and Oud Zuid is fun too, and a little more off the beaten path, as far as tourists -- you'll find some really high-end labels like Chanel, etc., but some other more mid-range shops and local designers as well.

One of my personal favorite places to shop in Amsterdam is at Claudia Strater which has multiple locations, one being on PC Hoofstraat as Janet mentioned. Have fun!

I spotted lovely items at a chain called Expresso last week and came home with a lovely cap sleeve navy blouse, an elevated basic. I spotted Inge’s striped sweater there .
