Amanda Peet in '2012'

If any of you have seen this movie, did you notice the way Amanda Peet's character dressed? There were really only two different outfits I noticed but they both consisted of a dress with a fuller skirt, topped with cardigan or sweater-hoodie and in the second outfit, she had converse shoes on with the outfit. For some reason I really liked the look of it. Generally, I would not think converse shoes paired with a dress and cardigan would look good but it looked very cute on her. I'm intrigued by this outfit but I think that wearing converse shoes with a skirt is going to make my legs look short and chunky.

Anyone here ever try it?

I looked for some shots of her in the movie and could not find any to illustrate what I am talking about! Sorry!

This was the best I could find...and it is kinda a cute look on her. I doubt it would work for me, but I think you should try and show us =)

I have watched the film but can't remember the looks, in principle though they sound like great MOTG outfits.

I just remember accelerating could get you out of a whole lot of trouble!

Edit: just saw the pics, very MOTG worthy.

Means alot that the two of you deem this to be worth a try. I will have to get some of those khaki converse, I have some dresses like that.

Angie, Uh Oh - why? Is it because my guess that it will shorten the legs correct? Do you like the outfit if paired with the nude sandals?

It really is not like heel-preferring me to be drawn to this look but for some reason I keep thinking about it. Part of it is also that I think Amanda Peet is really pretty in a natural sort of way.

The movie was entertaining to me as it required little to no thought and I could just veg and watch it here at home. But it is not going to get movie of the year.

Amanda Peet is very pretty! But what she's wearying looks juvenile, to me - not youthful. Hoodies and sneakers with a skirt - doesn't that remind you of something your baby sitter would wear? Sorry, agrace. I can't behind this look.

I felt so stressed watching that movie. All I wanted to do was walk out. But to be fair, I'd had enough of apocalyptic themes by that point. I can well imagine that you enjoyed it, though!
