Please let me start by saying that this is the second time that this has happened to me in a few weeks. I am a new customer to shopping with Talbots.
Several weeks ago they had an accessory promotion. I ordered three items. The items were all available at the time and showed up in my account as "In Progress." It took forever for shipping and then finally only one item of the three shipped while the other two stayed "In Progress" for days after. These two items also remained available on the Talbots website for current sale although at a higher, non-promo price. I kept checking my order status to see if these had shipped and with no notice from Talbots saw the status had changed to "No Longer Available." These two items are currently still for sale on the website.
I didn't bother contacting Talbots, just brushed it off.
Recently Talbots had different promotion, which I posted about on YLF, the layering knit sale for $15. I bought a bunch of tops. A few only recently shipped, but two remained "In Progress." They have remained for sale all this follow up time on the website at a higher price. Today I checked the status of that order, and these tops are now listed as "No Longer Available."
I believe that if a promotion is offered it should be honored, the timing of the order should be filled on a first come, first served basis.
