Am I Crazy or is this not cute and a couple other K/R's

Have a few things up for review:

1-3 This little jacket caught my eye, love the color and I need more toppers, what do you think? p.s. I would not be wearing it buttoned.

4-5 I ordered this Banana Republic dress and am so excited it's long enough and seems to fit nicely, love the color of this, too, and can wear it with my gray tweed moto now and seems like it would be great for spring and summer too...

6-7 I don't normally like boat necks or horizontal stripes on my broadshoulderedness, but this sweater is so comfy and I need a sweater! Seems like it would work with many of the things in my closet. The medium was too small, and this large seems a little big, but not too large I hope.

What is your honest opinion, only want to keep 10's...Thanks so much lovely ladies!

Ooh, fun stuff! I love the striped sweater. That look enormously versatile and I like how the graduated stripes minimize the shoulders. The dress looks like a great basic. I love the figure skimming fit. I like the jacket if it is suppose to be kind of shrunken when buttoned. I prefer it unbuttoned. It's the only thing I'm not 100% sure about.

I love everything you bought! The colour of your jacket is gorgeous. The wrap dress fits you perfectly and is very flattering. Wear it with a necklace The sweater looks great and while it could be tighter, this size is perfectly fine!

Thanks, Kelly! I would probably always leave the jacket unbuttoned, but just thought I throw a picture with it buttoned, too. I really liked it at first and then started to question myself....hmmmm

I love the color on the jacket, but I'm not sure if it fits perfectly in the way that it falls in the front when it's buttoned, in which case the unbuttoned look is fine. The dress fits and looks good on you, although would you consider adding a coloured belt just to define your waist a bit more? The sweater fits well and i wouldn't think you had broad shoulders at all! I think boat necks to that!

Thanks, Junebug! I would probably never button the jacket and the dress is a faux wrap style so not sure about belting it, I'm very short waisted and belts always ride up and drive me crazy. I would probably wear a necklace, that might help, too.

I have super broad shoulders and I love boat necks and stripes! It does take the right cut, though. What's fabulous is that I totally think this is the right cut. It looks great on you! I also love the jacket, but I wonder if it is pulling just a bit when closed. I always have problems with mine pulling. I notice it under the bust on you. It also looks a bit like it may be pulling at the vent, but I can't really tell because your arm is up, so that could be causing it. The dress is the only item that I'm not super in love with. Is it jersey? I find solid colored jersey is really hard to wear. Honestly, I think it manufactures figure problems that we don't even have. But please take that with a grain of salt because I'm beginning to think that I have a poison eye for solid jersey dresses! Patterns and gathered patterns? Love 'em. Solid? I seem be lukewarm on them about 95% of the time.

K-Interesting observation on the jacket, I will have to double ck that, do you think it looks fine unbuttoned? The dress is NOT jersey, I thought it would be when I ordered it but it's actually kind of a crepe material. I didn't put any shape wear or even the right under clothes on with this so that might be part of the problem. I hate to give up on it, because I finally found a dress long enough for me, I have been looking for ages! Glad the sweater is good to go! Yay!

I think the jacket looks gorgeous unbuttoned! I would keep it for that--I'm flexible that way. I have a couple shirts that have to be worn as layers and a cardigan that is never buttoned, all kept because they have a dedicated purpose and I'm okay with that. Not everything I own needs to be 100% versatile. (Forum heresy, I know!) The dress may very well be an underpinnings issue. That makes a lot of sense! I think the color and shape are gorgeous, so definitely worth exploring if the fit will be perfect with a little tweak.

The blazer is pulling because it's not made for a short waist, I think. That happens to me a lot; I love blazers. The cut expects your hips to start flaring below where they actually do. It looks really wonderful open, though, and that's how you said you'd wear it anyway, so I think you should keep it because it is gorgeous and flattering when open.

I am not certain about the dress, though. I have no intelligent explanation why. I just don't think the cut is flattering. The sweater is perfect, tho

K, big apology, I think the dess IS jersey, it's just a really a firm jersey material not too stretch or flimsy like the toe I'm most familiar with.

Ariel, thanks for chiming in, I'm so happy you like the jacket unbuttoned, and I guess this dress is not coming off as a 10, I actually think it looks better than the photos represent, hmmm gonna have to sit on this one for awhile.

I think you look especially fabulous in the dress (a 10, for sure!), and I'm stripe crazed, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about whether or not they look great (of course, to me, ALL stripes are a 10!), and I think the jacket is very slimming, buttoned or unbuttoned. I love the color and it looks adorable with the stripes underneath.

Not sure on the dress, from the back I don't like what it is doing under your arms - looks like extra material? I think of wrap dresses as clingy and flowy at the same time. I have a bit of sour grapes attitude with wrap dresses because I find them impossible to wear and agree with KCS on the solid jersey.

The jacket looks great to me - would not have noticed the pulling untill it's been pointed out!

Una, thanks for your honesty about the dress. If everyone only knew how hard it is for me to find a dress that works..usually way to short, tight up top loose down below, etc etc etc.

That dress is killer -- KILLER -- and I really like the sweater, too! I like the jacket, but do not love it. Color and style are great, but it feels a tad small and short to me, Carole.
I can't wait to see how you style that dress. It will work with so many different colors and accessories and, as you say, even in different seasons. Great find!

That dress is a find! I also really like the striped top (it really doesn't emphasize you shoulders, btw) and the color of that jacket.

I really like the jacket (worn unbuttoned, and maybe with a longer layer underneath if you are wearing it with pants) and the striped top. I like the dress, but don't think it's a 10.

Can I just say that I don't think your shoulders are big at all? In fact, you barely look like an IT in these pics :).
