Oh, wow, I logged in to post my outfit and found your post. Thank you.
We celebrated "our" Valentine's Day on Saturday rather than Friday, and it worked out. Yes, I did have the intended effect with my outfit, but he ended up also melting me. He was putting together a look, too. He got this red tuxedo, always wanted one but this gave him a reason to get it. Wore it with a white button up shirt, black bow tie, black belt, and black oxfords. Dam (intentional misspell), he looked so good, so dapper, so debonair. So, yes, we did match
Honestly, the whole night felt like prom night. We went out to this very fancy restaurant, that was high on a hill with a view of the cityscape. They had a special Valentine's Day menu Friday and Saturday night, and there was dancing afterwards. He got me a box of chocolate, a red rose wrist corsage, and a set of cute earrings that he found on Etsy (I got the photograph). He really went all out and I did not want to let him go. It was the most romantic Valentine's Day (even though it was technically the day after LOL) I've ever experienced.
Sunday, BTW, we just hung out at his house and a pizza delivered, a heart shaped pizza from Papa Johns. The euphoria hadn't worn off (and still hasn't, really) from the previous night. We just wanted to be together.
