Does anyone know if it's possible to add things to boots? I don't think it is, and if it is, it's probably expensive, but I'm just curious. I feel as though my LC boots, comfy as they are and much as I love them, are kind of boring. A little buckle/strap detail somewhere would really make them perfect. I don't even know where to find or buy a buckle that would match, but it's something I've been thinking about for a while now. If I do somehow find a buckle, I guess I could take it to a cobbler or a leather repair place and have them sew it on. Is this something they would do, even if it's not on their standard list of services?

Secondly, and probably more doable: I have some claret colored boots I got from Boden a couple of years ago. Love them to bits, except for the tassel ties at the sides. I liked them in theory, but in practice they're just irritating. They constantly come untied throughout the day, and they're much too long and seem a bit bulky on the sides. I think I'd just like them to be sleeker. I think a good cobbler could probably easily remove them and sew up the pleat on the sides, but I have no idea what it would cost. Any ideas?
