My grandma made this skirt for me some years ago and I haven't worn it for a long time. It's a lined skirt that's great for fall and winter. It's too tight and pulling around the hips now, but I plan to let out the side seams so I can wear it again. My grandma was a very practical woman and she left enough fabric in the seams that I could probably make it up to two sizes bigger.

I also thinks it needs some shortening to avoid looking frumpy. It's not correctly pinned for the pics, but I think you can imagine what it would look like. Should I leave it as a real midi like in #4, or does it look better just under the knees like in #5?

I really want to wear it again.
