I got the dress back from the tailor and I’m happy with the results. There is still a little gap in the shoulder straps where my bra strap shows but it’s only maybe an inch and it barely shows under my hair anyway. The tailor also closed the slit a few inches so it wasn’t up my thigh anymore. I’m going to tack the back together so it doesn’t flap open too.

I’m also posting the Pilcro skater jeans I posted recently. The regular ones were too short (shorter on me than on the model, but not short enough to be proper cropped length). I ordered the talls and those suit me much better. I think I could even trim off a half inch to an inch and still be fine — the hem is unfinished so a hack would be pretty easy. There’s enough room under the bottom snap that it wouldn’t look odd to lose an inch. I love the snap hem detail!

They look snug around the hip in the photo but they are straight out of the package, and these are very stretchy and definitely loosen up with wear. The next size up looked like it was going to be too baggy in no time, and seeing as I’m currently at the higher end of my usual size range, I know better than to buy something that will end up too baggy. I’m inclined to keep.

Pictured with the jeans is the lace/crochet top from Anthro. I’m less sure of this now that I’m seeing it in pictures. I’m not sure exactly how I’d style it, TBH. It’s “one size” so this is how it fits, period. I kind of wish it were a little slouchier, maybe? And is the pattern making me look wide and boxy? I need fresh eyes on this one. I am wearing a nude tank underneath it, but maybe it’s better over black, like the model photo? Not sure. I welcome input!

Woody had to get in the photo. He’a such a goofball. And I need to correct that farmer tan, ugh! LOL
