Nordstrom order arrived today. The EF boyfriend jeans are going back. The legs fit well but the waist is huge. They sit low on my hips but the rise is too long for that to look good. The cut and fabric are not quite special enough to put time/$$ into waist alterations (which I find are a crapshoot anyway; about 50% of the time I still dislike the fit after I've had the waist taken in).

I also ordered a set of cute Marimekko sheets inspired by Runcarla's red discussion. I mentioned wishing I had more red decor in my bedroom, and since I just scrapped a set of sheets that was completely threadbare I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to add some. These are not the most lux sheets out there, but they aren't so thin as to be see-through, and I love lightweight percale in the summer. I'm keeping them even though DH will complain; he is opposed to twee prints and bright colours. DS, on the other hand, wants a set for himself.

Non-NAS: I'm also going to return my Everlane order. I love the colour of the coat (a little cooler toned in person than onscreen) and it's really nicely made (I especially like the cupro blend lining). It's a steal at the sale price, but I would really need to go down another size, and that size is currently sold out. I'm okay with intentionally slouchy, but this was like swallow-me-whole. I have a no-stalk policy in place in an effort to reduce screen time, so won't bother trying the other size. Also -- the pockets are so awkward; I think I need to insist on side-entry pockets for winter coats, for hand-warming purposes. Surprisingly, I'm also sending back my duplicate shorts. The red feels a little thinner than the olive, and the waist is cut smaller, so that they a) ride up and b) poof out where the legs meet the elastic. No bueno. I was expecting perfection! It's a shame, because the colour is great -- they remind me of classic lifeguard shorts. DS (age 5) is bummed because he loves both and thinks I should keep them.
