Allsaints sizing?

Can anyone tell me how Allsaints knitwear runs? Inge linked to a really smashing piece, and some of the sale prices are looking pretty good.

Also, if i'm on the US site...are the sizes US sizes? (Like how Boden does it now?) I guess I'm not sure if I should be ordering a US 6 (small) or the UK equivalent.

Hmm...have to check the fiber content on some of those, as I am trying very hard not to buy 100% cotton!

MPJ, the last two links aren't working.

Unfortunately, I can't advise re: knit sizing. The only allsaints piece I have is a woven top. For what it's worth, it is marked as a UK 14 (US 10 equivalent), and I find that it's actually a little bit tight across my 38" bust. It's confusing, because I am wearing more of a US 8-10 up top these days.

I like the wrap cardigan you linked to!

That's a shame, can't get them to work...they were for the Stripe Manilla Cardigan and Willow Cardigan - but they have a couple weird characters in the url, so it's not copying and pasting nicely.

I've only bought a woven item, but the sizes are definitely UK. I am a 2-4 in US with a 32D/32C chest, and the size 10 fits me very well.

The sizes on the site are UK sizes, even on the US site. They provide a sizing guide on the website which converts between US and UK sizes. They say that US 6=UK 10.

The last time I tried on their clothes in the soho store, I found that the UK 10 is just the teensiest bit too tight for me but the UK 12 is too big. I'm a US size 6 but on the larger end of that range, due to ongoing weight loss. In another five pounds, I'd probably be comfortably into the UK10.

Long story short, if you're a standard US 6 and buying knitwear, I'd go for a UK 10. If you're sometimes a US 6 and sometimes a US 8, and buying something fitted and woven, I'd size up to UK 12.
