Allsaints jacket: cropped and styled

Attempts to style it and take some better photos... in the last photo the sleeve strap came undone (I need to tighten it). Do any of these ideas work? I have a favorite, but I want to see if you all do. Please be honest

1. With jeans and Allsaints tunic (the print throws off the effect, I think)
2 With Allsaints hitched dress
3. The dress - I love this dress!
4. With shorts
5. With Ted Baker dress

I like #1 (what do you not like about the print?). I also like #5 very much. But #4 is amaaaazing. The whole look...your awesome legs, the sunglasses...love.

Love love love 1, 2, and 5!!! Simply can't pic a favorite. Your waist does look tiny in #2, though. Oh, I really hope you keep it!

Before I answer the question, may I just say I am LOVING your hair? Because I am.

I like it best with the Ted Baker dress. I would also like it with slimmer jeans. It is great!

Beth, I thought the print with the crop emphasized my mid-section a bit too much.

Anything negative here?

I love that Ted Baker dress. I ordered it too, but my print distribution was really ugly. It had way too much white. Such a bummer.

As much as I love that dress though, my favorite look with the jacket is #2. I like the juxtaposition of hard and soft and all the textural interest.

DressLover, I read on the reviews that the print really varied. I stumbled on mine in the store and picked through a couple to find one I liked. Too bad they couldn't be more consistent.

Okay, #2 is my favorite too - probably because they are pretty much made to be worn together.

I hold firm to my belief that uncropped will also be fab. And you will never have the is-this-jacket-too-short-for-these-jeans problem.

Both ways definitely work. You know how in a regular YLF week, you see lots of lovely things people post, but every so often there's an item that someone posts and your jaw drops?

Yeah. This is one of them.

Wait, damn, I just realized this thread was about the cropped leather jacket. Oops. It is a no-brainer....keep it and wear it all the time (along with all of these other gems!)

Heather, the tunic and the dress are items I've had for a while - I think I've posted WIWs with both of them. The dress needs to be worn more - unfortunately it falls in between too casual for work and too flouncy for otherwise... the jacket will help de-flounce it!

#4 is KILLER...to borrow a phrase. it is so unexpected on you that it looks FRESH, FRESH, FRESH.

i also adore #2, but that's more una-like and the level of fabulosity that i've come to expect from your posts!

i do see what you mean about #1, with that wide dark panel contrasting with the rest of the tunic, but honestly, i didn't even register it until you pointed it out. overall, the outfit is balanced.

WOW for #2. This is the perfect cropped jacket to wear over dresses. Angie did a blog post on cropped jackts over dresses a while back.
You've hit the jackpot with this jacket that can be worn two lengths!

Ooh it's fun! I like the cropped version with the shorts more than the long version; when long it looked a bit seasonally confused, but here it looks just right. I agree with your assessment about longer is more utility, though it'll look super with some skinnies and a fun top.
