Allbirds, track pant jeans, and iso cargos

1.) Does anyone on here have Allbirds? A couple of people on another forum recommended them, and since I am all about the wool these days (slowly transitioning all my socks to Smartwool), I was interested. The fact they can be machine washed and worn without socks is a big plus. Thinking of maybe getting them in white though I'm not so much a white sneaker person. All those Nordies mannequins in white sneakers in Angie's post may be pushing me in that direction.

2.) Saw these in an Anthro email. Track pants look for people who don't like gear? I think they're adorable, but way too high-waisted for me.

A bunch of my coworkers have Allbirds and they enthusiastically recommend them. I love that they're wool (another Smartwool convert here) but the style is just a little too athletic for me. Still, it's very tempting. And I think they do look very stylish, just not my style, if that makes sense.

Oh...the Allbirds are nifty--I'm going to be watching for responses about those. And I really like the track-stripe jeans!

I have a pair of Allbirds. They are very comfy. I found them fairly snug in the usual size, but they don't rub or anything so I think they're meant that way. I have not washed them yet. I wear them very casually. I've tried them without socks and they're great, but not that warm, so will save that for the spring and summer. They aren't supportive enough for, like, hard core sports. But walking all day on sidewalks, running errands, etc, they are the best. I wore them when I was packing and moving recently.

The Allbirds are very cute. I noticed that they didn't come in half sizes. The Wanderer cargo pants from Anthropologie were one of Angie's top picks. They also get great reviews. I tried a pair on. They look great IRL. They fit me great everywhere except in the waist where they were huge (like 6 or 7 inches huge). I was very disappointed because they were perfect for my wardrobe. Maybe they would work for you.

I don't recall where I came across the all birds in the past but I'm loving them all over again! And I really like the athletes cargos. May be on a new quest ...

Love the shoes, I would worry about the white getting dirty - maybe they could be scotch-guarded? I've been on the lookout for comfy cargos for a year or so and these are really nice. Love that the Athleta ones come in petite.

I've been curious about Allbirds. I'd love to hear how the durability compares to synthetic knit sneakers.

I have those Mother track stripe jeans in my Finds. I'm a little obsessed with track stripe/tux stripe jeans this season. I've been wearing this Boden pair a lot.

I'd never heard of Allbirds before, but I like them. I have a soft spot for flannel/wool-looking shoes -- years ago I had a pair of grey flannel oxfords (from Target, of all places!), and I loved them.

I ordered those Anthro cargos that Style Fan mentions. They might be a good spring/summer bottom option for me. I loathe shopping for summer bottoms, especially now when my weight is back up, so I'm forcing myself to try something before warm weather hits and I'm despairing for lack of options. I'll report on those cargos when they arrive.

I bought these Athleta cargo pants you mention in black and dark green. Same size. I am sending the black ones back because the calves were tight and made the pants look like britches. I like the green ones and in fact wore them out today (on vacation in Nerja, Spain.) They are a very synthetic fabric. I have another pair of all cotton light green cargos that I like in a different way.

I learned about Allbirds several months ago and was intrigued but ultimately decided they were too sporty looking for me. If they came in more of a converse shape I'd give them a try. I'm intrigued because they seem like the very rare shoes that won't blister my toes when worn without socks.

My daughter asked for a pair of Allbirds for a holiday gift. I wasn't familiar with them and was impressed when they arrived. A few years ago, I started the project of replacing all of my sock swith merino wool - took a while due to cost, but my feet are so happy. So the idea of merino shoes sounds brilliant to me!
My daughter reports that the shoes are great, but of course she hasn't worn them in warm weather yet. She got the gray, and they are a nice look with her day-to-day student attire. She wanted them in large part because she thought they would be great for travel. A comfortable walking shoe that doesn't scream "athletic shoe", but could still be worn on a morning run or visit to a hotel workout facility.
Having seen them in person, I agree with RobinF that the white ones probably won't stay pristine, even with washing. But neither do white sneakers - some scuffing is just part of the look.
All of those cargo pants you linked to are cute! I have other styles of athleta pants in that featherweight fabric - I love them because they are so lightweight and breezy.

The Albirds are interesting. I've seen the Anthro pants in brown but not in green.

Thanks, all! All the positive reports on the Allbirds led me to ordering them. Hope they work out. I also ordered the Anthro cargos to try. It kills me to pay $11 shipping for pants that might not work out, sigh, but none of the stores near me had them in my size according to the online locator. I'll report back.

Too late now but for next time. Most anthropologie stores will let you order with free shipping f you do it in the actual store. I usually bring the wrong size up to the resister and ask if they can order me the correct one. I've never tried with an item that's not actually stocked at themat store. I think the free shipping is at the discretion of the SA but I've always gotten it. (You're in MA, right? I've done it at Harvard square, downtown Boston, and chestnut hill.)

I swear I saw a pair of blush colored allbirds one time. If I found them again I'd try them. The current available colors don't float my boat, but I love the idea of them b/c I hate wearing socks and I also hate soggy feet.

Thanks, Diana! I didn't realize Anthro did that. I take the Green Line thru Back Bay to work, so that store's very convenient for me to drop into.
