Just look at this girlfriends! I pondered and procrastinated today about tackling anything that had to do with my closet, but finally told myself "just 15 minutes, that's all you have to do" - and so, with that promise to myself in mind, I addressed my "jeans situation."

I like jeans. I live in jeans for 9/10ths of the year - they are totally appropriate for my climate and my lifestyle . . . so, I have a lot of jeans - but, did I mentiion that I like jeans and . . . ? Oh yeah, I did! Ok, so I decided that keeping them on the top shelf in the closet just wasnt' working because everytime I reached for a pair, another couple of pairs would fall down on my head along with them - and alot of times I couldn't find the pair that I was looking for, because it was at the bottom of the pile. So, at first I thought that (since they are so important to my lifestyle and I am so in love with them) that I would hang them in my closet - but, that would pretty much take up all of the prime real estate in my closet - which would NOT be good. So, I decided to give them my prime dresser drawer! And it worked - and I feel so good! I rolled them up (I hope this doesn't make them wrinkle - but I figure it can't be any worse than piling them on top of each other on an out-of-reach closet shelf) I put my boyfriends and my skinnies in the front, and the boot-cuts and the flareds in the back (because I'm not wearing them as much these days) and it worked out perfectly! Oh, and I also tried each pair on before I allowed them to have a space in my drawer - just to make sure that I still loved them and would still wear them. The only pair that I pulled out was a pair of Hudson black skinnies that need to be hemmed up - and I put those out in the hallway with the other "need tailoring" pile - yikes! (That spot still looks really bad!) But hey, one small step for my jeans, one giant step for my closet! I'm on my way!

P.S. Because I have such an intimate relationship with my jeans - I know with just a glance at the drawer what is what - b.f.? skinny? bootcut? etc. etc. Oh yeah - those jeans and I are like this X.
