I like shoes

The first 2 pairs are ones that I am keeping - taupe suede mules (Steve Madden) and bronze mules from Aquatalia. For full disclosure, I also recently added a black closed toe cage sandal and a black and white snakeskin cage sandal.

I'm sorry that none of these are styled; I just put them on with my lounge wear.

The next 2 pairs are definitely going back. I love them- both were Angie recommendations- but they don't work for me.

The DV snakeskin is described as white but it is cream with a chain toe. I think Thistle has these. The cut doesn't work for my widish foot- you can see how it wrinkles at the instep.

The Delman black 'oil slick' - also an Angie pick - would be better for a more narrow foot. The color is so cool but it's a bit snug and it creased just from trying it on.

I posted the Born white loafers and they got a lot of positive responses so I ordered them. I don't know if I can get past the "old guy in Florida" vibe of these. What do you think?

Next up- pewter sandal. I've tried a few different pewter ones and this one is the best fit, very comfy and I like the style. I am leaning toward keeping this one unless you see anything negative.

Finally, 2 Bass loafers, the same shoe in 2 different colors. I will definitely keep at least one of these. They feel more like me than the Borns. I'm thinking of keeping the black ones for fall. Would it be dumb to keep both? They were VERY affordable. I first saw them on Online Shoes for $125. Then I found them on Amazon for $35.

I like your decisions. I actually looked at the pics first then read your post and I was in agreement with you ! I am not loving the white loafers either. They DO remind me of FL retirement golfing , LOL. The metallic are to die for, both pairs.

Regarding the Bass loafers, if you love them and they are comfortable then keep them. But don't make the decision on price alone. : )

The Bass loafers are super fun! I love the colour block ones. I'd keep them both if they're comfortable and you'll wear. You are set for fab spring shoes!

I love the pewter sandal in 12/13. I think they will be great for summer and with BF jeans. The fit at the ankle is perfect. I like both of the loafers but think the black/white will be less "heavy" for summer. The first two sandals are really nice and I'm envious that you can walk in those! I don't like the white loafers with the chain. I think you nailed the vibe--I kind of shuddered when I saw them (lol.)

ETA: Can you tell us the brand of the pewter cage sandals, pretty please?

I agree 3 and 4 would not be keepers, love 12 and 13, the black and white loafers, and would you believe I almost bought the white ones, had them bookmarked on Amazon, but when I went back they were gone in my size..But I found another pair of white loafers on Amazon that I like better. Expecting them by Wednesday so will post photo.

I love the pewter cage booties -- keep! I also like the Bass loafers a lot better than the white ones, which do seem a little golfy. It's a shame the DV slipper flats didn't work out, because they're so cute. The two mules you're keeping look nice too.

Here's my 2 cents:

I like #7 and #10 best as far as loafers go. I like #1 next. Super, super cute mules. Killer in fact.

#8 as you mentioned isn't wide enough on your foot. It's a narrow fit, isn't it? Gorgeous oil effect on the leather though.

I find the loafers in #5 too tight too. The white loafers are a better fit to my eye.

#13 also looks tight, and I'm luke warm about #3. Much, much prefer #1 on your leg shape.

I love both of the Bass loafers. I would keep both (but I do have a problem with always keeping both).

Thank you all for your opinions. You confirmed my first reaction to the white loafers; they are just not for me. The brand of the pewter sandals is Coconuts, not one that I was familiar with. I got them from Online Shoes.

Angie, #7, the DV snakeskin doesn't fit. It wrinkles across the top. I was disappointed as I really like them, though I'm not sure that the cream would work well for me.

So you think the Bass look too tight? They don't feel snug; they are actually comfy.

Ah. Too bad the DV's are a bad fit. Oh well.

Yes. I do think that the bass loafers look a dash narrow - visually - in the toe box. The wider fit of the white loafers looks better to my eye.

I love the pewter sandals. And I both loafers in pics 5 and 6, so I'm not much help there. The rest I'm not sure about.

I'm no help; I love them all. I tried on the laceless oxford-ish version of 7 and while I loved the look, they just didn't work for my feet.

What's the style name of #12-13? Love those! But I'm not seeing them on onlineshoes. I'm familiar with Coconuts from DSW. Are they leather or faux?

ETA: Found it! It's under Matisse, which is somehow related to Coconuts. It's faux leather, for anyone else who was wondering.

You may not like the white loafer pet se but if you step back and look at proportions I think that is part of what looks good, potentially. I your fert look telatively small and if you're petite, if you target a shoe that is very trim and dainty-tapered heel, pointy toe-it may look less modern on you-- you can rock a slightly chunkier heel or shape, for example-- especially for a casual look. I have a friend that knows how do that whereas on me they would look like boats. I'm not a good judge of mules but that may be why # 1 works.

I just got the Delmans in nude oil slick and they're too snug in the toe for me! I would like too imagine they would stretchnout butbin patent, I think not. Boo!
What are the 2- tone slipper flats? A DV?

PG, you're right, Matisse was the brand in the description but the box says Coconuts. I missed the part about faux because they do feel like leather. Hmmm, I will have to think more on that. I usually avoid faux but I might still keep them.

Unfrunped, I get what you are saying about the white loafers but I've decided that they are just not my style. All I see is WHITE SHOES and not in a good way!

The two tone is Dolce Vita. It's cream snakeskin with a pewter chain toe and black piping. It really is pretty but just not comfortable. Just like the oil slick, it's too narrow for me,
