Just saw this one online, ladies, and thought I'd put the word out for anybody who loves a good blast of turquoise. I know I do and I purchased one lickety split. So who's going to join me?

Oops, sorry Deborah. I was so anxious to get the word out, I didn't even think to post a link to the photo. I don't know whether I can do it from my iPad; if not I'll do it when I get back to my computer. In the meantime, you can see the skirt in all its turquoise glory on the Nordstrom website.

Wahoo! I am all over this:). You know, when NAS pics first appeared online, that skirt was shown in turquoise. Then when the sale started, it was nowhere to be found. I thought I was losing my mind!

It's not a straight skirt, it is fitted around the waist and hips. I wonder if it is just longer or if the hips sit lower? I'm sure my dry cleaner's would find a way to ruin even a straight hem... they've done some really mediocre alterations for me recently.

I have this skirt in purple magenta in the non-petite, and I'm really on the fence about keeping it. Can't tell if it's just the length, or if it's just bigger all over.

I'll have to post a keep or return over the weekend.

MaryK, send it back to exchange for the petite one. They have them in stock now. I got the 2P at NAS. They will still exchange for size.

I want the turquoise and lime green in Petite!! I love my loudest in the world fever pink skirt!

SO frustrating. MaryK, the sizing chart says that petite and regular are different. But I still thought it might be possible to make it work. It won't, however, if they don't have any small sizes, period!

Well, it's all theoretical to me because I can't afford the duty/taxes to ship to Canada (especially if I don't know that it will fit) so I will have to live vicariously through you two lovely ladies. I just hope one or both of you is able to obtain the skirt!

I know this has been discussed before but I wasn't sure what the consensus was - does everyone dry-clean their Halogen skirts or can they be washed?

Ok, so I ordered this in black and have decided I need a smaller size. Would it be crazy to order it in turquoise? Probably since I want to wear it for job interviews.

Aww---thanks Lynn! I might order it in both. I was shocked how big this skirt ran--- according to the size chart I am a 10-- I ordered and 8 and a 6, turns out a 4 would be much better! I haven't owned a size 4 size if was 15 (before I got hips).

MaryK, I just took my yellow skirt to alter - it was sitting too low on my hips (darn that hip - waist ratio!) and apparently it is very easy to alter in the seams. It should not be a big deal for a good seamstress and should not be too expensive either.
I covet both magenta and turquoise but I have to keep my wardrobe minimum and leave some room for next year NAS!:-)

Wow, I am not a size smaller in these skirts! On me, if it fits in the waist, the hips are way too big, and if the hips fit, I can't zip it. I guess that's the fate of the booty-less and waist-free. I would so love to have another one of these. Can the hip area be taken in easily?

Una, I have the same issue. I own this skirt in two colors, but haven't worn it yet (too hot). I'm planning to take it to a tailor to see if it can be easily taken in around the hip area. If it's super expensive to do so, I'll probably return it and keep looking.

Una, I'd ask the alterations department at Nordstrom to see if this is doable. I've heard of the hip area being taken in on pencil skirts but unfortunately, as I've got the opposite problem with my abundance of hip, I can't share from my direct experience.
