Alegria Footwear

Hi! What can you tell me about Alegria Footwear? Are they comfortable? Good quality? Would you recommend them? Thanks for any input.

I had some sandals, once, that I bought to wear with very casual shorts. They were ok with good arch support, but not so great that I went out and got more. In terms of looks, sort of like slightly dressier Birks, but the styles--and the purple butterfly logo on the sole--look pretty young to me, certainly not my first choice for work, assuming my feet gave me other options. My understanding is that the foot bed comes out of most if not all styles, and can accommodate a prescription or custom orthotic, if that is important to you

I don't own any, but they get good reviews for comfort on the Barking Dog forum - a forum for comfortable shoes for fussy feet.

Never seen them, but Alegria means happiness in Spanish
Barking dog is a good site, but tends to focus on wide and very casual shoes for the most part.

Thank you everyone for the input. I ordered a pair the other day when they were the Today's Special on QVC. My ankles and knees have been temperamental lately as well as having sore legs and feet from working retail these days. I'm hoping these work out when they arrive.
