Okay, this is shameless self-promotion but today is my birthday too! Since I am off in a foreign country, far from friends and family, I'm willing to go ahead and post my own birthday thread. My neighbor and I did go out to celebrate my birthday but I still feel a bit homesick.

I'm glad to share a birthday with Antje!

Happy birthday, AJ! I know it's hard to have your birthday away from home and you must be feeling a little lonely. At least nowadays with internet you probably don't feel as separated from your family and friends. I really enjoy reading your reports from Lithuania and I am looking forward to more. I am glad you were able to do something special on your birthday. Do you know other Americans there? Sometimes it's nice to speak to someone from your country, in spite of all the interesting things and novelties around you.
