I know a lot of us have been drooling over this Kate Spade trench. So when i saw that blogger's coat AND the fact that she found it for $3 at Salvation Army....well, finds like that is what keeps me thrifting. @_@

So is Goodwill! All color tags except red. Sadly my office is still open that day even though the markets are closed (which doesn't make a lot of sense to me...>.> ). So i'm not sure if i'll be able to take advantage or not...i hope so!

A great find definitely fuels my thrifting fire . . I've found TWO Hermes scarves at the same Savers!!

The first one was older and had sun damage on half, but the the half was perfect.

The second one was brand new, still had the tag pinned to it, and I quivered with excitement all the way to the register. It was $4.95! I need to wear it this spring - it's colourway is orange and pink!

Beautiful coat, and so inspirational! I used to love thrifting, but I haven't done it in years. Always seems like there are other chores to be done on the weekends. But I have been inspired to try again, and take my 10 year old daughter (the ultimate pack rat). Seeing your thrifting finds, Nicole, along with other YLFers', is very inspiring.

I love both versions, but the thrifted coat is my favorite because of the overall mod shape. The weird thing is, I have a shorter version of the Kate Spade trench that I bought (or gifted, can't remember) when Harold's (former preppy chain) was going out of business a few years ago. It's a small world!
