Aggravated with ATL

What is the point of buying anything on sale, if I have to pay an additional $15 on top of regular shipping? That's a minimum of $25 in shipping costs for clothing! Zappos sends shoes here for free in 2 days! I see so many of the items I need there, yet I might as well live on Mars. Just had to rant, sorry.

I'm confused- why is shipping $25? Because of your location? I can sympathise, living in Australia where our selections are much more limited- I have to use a forwarding service to get stuff sent here.

I always try to do big orders at ATL to get their free shipping on orders over $150 (which is usually on).

ATL's shipping is pricey even here, but $15 is insanity.

I'm usually out at least $10. Not as bad as Macy's or Tulle, but enough to give me pause.

With so many other retailers offering free or very low shipping, I don't understand why these stores can't play along. I have 2 sweaters sitting in my ATL shopping cart that I am loathe to purchase (despite the buy 2, get one half off promo) because the shipping almost entirely undoes my savings.

I'm sorry. I have family in Hawaii and it is so expensive to ship things. We have also toyed around with the idea of retiring in AK (my husband and I fell in love with Skagway) one day (totally not serious probably, but we still have lots of time to plan) and these are all things one has to consider.
At least you can somewhat console yourself that you live in such a beautiful place.

Maya, the shipping is an ADDITIONAL $15 on top of regular shipping! It's truly nuts. I know it's a cost to them, but it really is only more to ship here if you're doing 2 days, and I don't mind waiting for ground shipments.
