Hello from Africa!
I'm in West Africa (Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire/Ivory Coast) for work and I've been admiring the fashionable people here! It is cheaper to have clothes made by a tailor than to go to a store with pre-made sizes. So, as you can imagine, the clothes fit so much better!!
The people dress up for work. Men wear dress shirts and suits. I haven't seen many ties though. The woman wear either collared button-up shirts or more traditional dresses in bright colors. I see men wearing pink and purple. Bright orange, pink, yellow are also worn a great deal and it looks amazing against dark skin.
I've had a hard time getting photos of people because I feel bad invading their privacy. I supposed I could ask them if it is ok.
I think the biggest lesson I've learned from this trip is that there is no substitute for great fit! I've been inspired to have a higher standard. =)
