Advice on which top and tights

Well I have bitten the bullet need your opinions plz which colour top to wear with this dress, which tights and I don't know how to add more photos so gonna have to do another post on which coat to wear

Gaye, hello! First of all, I LOVE your edgy haircut! And secondly, welcome to WIW! Ordinarily you would probably have 53 responses by now but because of American Thanksgiving it is a little quiet around here.

Cute outfit you are wearing. I don't know if my monitor is showing colours properly but are the tops the same in 2 and 3? I prefer the darker to the lighter one in #1, in any case. And I really like the dotted hose; they pick up the round buttons.

Hello Gaye! I agree with Suz about liking the darker top. It's a little hard to read the hose on a monitor, because I have found that often fishnet tights don't show clearly in photos. But the herringbone ones look great. Probably the fishnet ones look great too IRL.

I had that first photo post nervousness also! I have gotten so much helpful feedback that has literally changed my life and confidence.

1 is more classic; 3 is more edgy.

Personally, I really like the edge of #3!

I think both tops work and create a different vibe. White works here because of the white trim on the dress. You can also try a white button down.
I prefer textured tights with this dress: they add a spunky factor there.
You look great!

Cute dress! Combo #3 is my favorite, but I like the white top under the dress as well. Have you thought about putting a print underneath? I think you could layer that dress over a lot of different kinds of blouses with interesting sleeves.

Welcome Gaye! I am LOVING this dress and what you're doing with it! #3 is my favorite, as I am quite enamored with patterned tights this Fall. I also think the black on black combo give a wink and a nod to your edgy hair cut (which is fab, btw!) I love everything you're doing and it seems to be very you. Can't wait to see more from you!
