I can't talk, because I haven't posted pictures at all, but I wanted to suggest that you try Angie's suggestion of a midi or a-line winter skirt even though you might be concerned that it won't look quite right on your shape. I have a feeling that something like this might just the thing to pair with your shorter winter sweaters. I don't know what kind of stores you have in your area - or if there's a chance you could go and try some stuff on and post pics from the dressing room before buying, but if this is a possibility - then I think this is a good idea.
That said...these items might be totally gone from the stores by now and perhaps you might have to wait until July/August when all the 'new' stuff comes out for fall/winter.
I like Diana's short wool skirt paired with tights and nice boots and can see you pairing your winter sweaters with something along these lines. But I *also* think that Angie's suggestion of an a-line or slightly longer midi-ish length winter skirt might have you veering into "killer to the power of killer" zone, so I think it's definitely worth trying the idea.
When I suggested a winter skirt, such as one of those nice leather skirts that were so popular last fall, I hadn't accounted for the fact that your winter sweaters are fairly close-fitting, unlike the "Only Mine" brand slouchy cashmere oatmeal sweater that looked so fab with the leather pencil shaped skirt.
The (Only Mine) slouchy, soft, creamy-ish sweater looked amazing with a very sharply tailored, relatively slim-fitting black leather skirt, and I am thinking that what Angie is getting at here is that your sweaters are not slouchy...and that in order to get the same sort of effect, you might want the volume (not much) on the bottom - hence the suggestion to try a-line or midi-length skirts. You'd just be taking that slouchy, soft ivory sweater paired with a sharp, slim fitting skirt and reversing it all - your sweaters aren't that boxy or slouchy...but the thing is - you could probably get the same effect by trying a longer, flowy-er skirt.
Just something to consider, if you really want to keep those lovely, but short-ish sweaters that you're just now figuring out how to wear again, having moved back to a winter climate.
