Adults in kids shoes--is this totally wrong?

OK I know this is a weird question, but I have fairly small feet (6-6.5) and I am entertaining the idea of trying on kid's shoes. I thought maybe since they are meant for kids, they will be more comfortable (and probably half the price of adult shoes). But I am not sure what size to get. Maybe those of you with daughters might know? According to Zappos' size chart, I would be a 4.5 or 5 youth. Does that seem right or too small? Is this a ridiculous idea? There are some cute styles out there that I think could work for adults!

I worked at a shoe boutique one summer and many women with small feet purchased children's sizes, especially Uggs (half price!) We actually sold those Kenneth Cole ones you posted and they are adorable. I believe you're right about the sizes... but I don't remember for sure right now. I think from a financial standpoint, buying kid's shoes might work!

Maya, I am a 6 (sometimes) and have bought kids shoes a few times as an adult, usually because they are cheaper. I can't remember what size I got - but there was an equivalent, because the sizes overlap

I think it work as long as you stick with adult looking styles like those you've picked x

That's the same size as DD, and yes- she can wear some adults 6's and some youth 5's. Those all look appropriate for a grown up, so try it out and see!

I usually buy my athletic shoes in kids sizes - way cheaper for the same thing! I need to double check to see what size they are but I believe they are a youth 5 and I wear the same size adults shoes as you 6.5/37. You didn't want to have a pair of jelly sandals???

My son and I wear the same size...I'm a 6.5 and he's a youth 5. He stole my hikers and my rain boots....

This thread immediately reminds me of the show, "Little Couple" on TLC. Its about a little person couple who are newly weds (they are really cute and sweet). The women is very small, even for a little person, and she loves to shop. Obviously she has to wear kids clothing and shoes. There was a half an episode of her shoe shopping.

OK, there are some Me Too kids shoes for $21 on Endless. I'm so tempted even though I have put myself on a very strict shopping ban. I guess I can always try them to see if they feel any better and then send them back.
