I am amazed at the amount of wide legs and jump suits of all kinds out there. also soo many wedge sandals. Lots of tie waists on pants skirts and dresses too. I think by mid summer there will be tons on sale as we are not a society of tiny waists.

Yeah, the trends seem to favor the young and thin, don’t they? There’s a good reason my purchases of late have been basic, except for the white cape-jacket!

I have to agree with you about pant suits! There is a huge selection, and it seems they fall into two categories, those that are derivative of workwear and are kind of RATE looking, and those that are dressy. If you like them, there should be a lot left at the end of the season on sale.

I am personally reluctant to get pants or shorts with built in ties. I have tried them and for whatever reason they look awkward on my frame. I’m sure they flatter many people, but I have a hard time figuring out how to make them work.

Agree about the jumpsuits. I see them everywhere. I will admit to having given a second look to some of the dressier versions for a wedding I’m attending this summer, but I think that’s mostly due to not having found a dress that I like yet. I wonder if they’ll really catch on in mainstream fashion this time around.

Happy with the wedges for weekend wear, but as much as I like the look of jumpsuits-I'm attached to drinking water during the day-so probably a nope. Tie waists are a nah. Will leave them for the long waisted small hip bodies!

I can't tolerate jumpsuits, if only because I don't want to have to completely disrobe in order to use the facilities!

I bought a jumpsuit last year on a whim and a sale. I’m definitely not thin. I ended up keeping it and wore it tons. It is stretchy so not too hard to get on and off. I’m hoping im still enamoured once I pull out the spring and summer wear.

I wonder whom you refer to by the statement "We are not a society of tiny waists." People where you live (Southern California)?
