I could not fit on a 38 and I am a size 8. I would say try the 39 first. it also depends on whether you are buying new from current styles or used off the bay. I read reviews where people complained that whatever size worked for them, stopped doing so, because Acne changed the sizing. I am talking about the pistols. I'm not sure if it is true or not. To me, the shoe looks long but it is not. It is just very narrow, IMO.
