Hi all, a quick post and run for accountability!! With things opening up a little further today, shopping in person is back on the table and I can feel my trigger finger itching So I wanted to put a thought-out wishlist together so at least I will make some smart purchases!

Contemplating the satisfaction that my essentials bring me, I thought I would sort of audit the state of that part of my wardrobe, and I did identify a few holes:

  • white bottoms are a summer essential, but I currently have only one pair of white shorts, and one pair of white jeans that are not very current (skinny) - meanwhile I somehow have three statement shorts *rolls eyes at self*. I could do with another essential option or two in this category. So I am open to white jean shorts, as well as white jeans with a more modern fit (straight or wide).
  • Neutral/nearly neutral tees and tanks are summer essentials. I'm good for tees, but an additional, neutral fluid tank similar to my linen striped blue-and-white one might be nice.
  • As I've mentioned elsewhere, my sweater collection is in dire need of a complete revamp. My essentials here include neutral and nearly-neutral options in a fluid fit. I think I could do a better job of varying the details - e.g. v-necks and crewnecks, maybe a henley style, etc.
  • I've got loads of striped tops, but few that work for cold weather. A few striped additions to the sweater collection would serve me well (and add that contrast that I find hard to incorporate in winter).
To be clear - I currently have more than enough in my closet! (the sweater situation is a little dire, but that won't be an issue for another few months!) However, IF I'm going to shop, these are the sensible choices that will also bring me the most long-term satisfaction - so I'll keep my eyes open and see what presents itself!

Thanks for indulging me; feel free to hold me to account!
