Accommodations in London, England.

I’m looking for recommendations for B&B’s, Inns, or Hotels in London, England - especially near Chelsea (in Pimlico, Westminster, or Belgravia). I’ve had great good-luck with accommodations throughout England, Scotland, and Wales in 3 previous trips, but I’ve never found London lodgings I would care to repeat (let alone recommend!).

I’m planning a trip to England for May, and will be attending the Chelsea Flower Show the 3rd week of that month. Any recommendations?

There are many resources for renting college dorms in England, like this https://www.universityrooms.co.....o=20/05/20 That's what we'll probably do in London. In Italy, we'll stay in monasteries/convents. I also want to stay in castles/historic properties. It sounds like there is a good deal of variety in all of these, and lots of reviews are available online. Prices range from £16.50 to over £200 per night.

Very very close to the flower shower is Belmond Cadogan hotel (Sloane Street) and No 11 Cadogan Gardens and the Draycott Hotel (also on Cadogan Gardens). They are pricey but really beautiful and so close and the atmosphere will be all abuzz with Chelsea flower show.

There are less pricey options - Zed Hotel very close to Victoria Station - a 10 minute nice walk through elegant Belgravia to the flower show.

There are a few hotels on Ebury Street in belgravia which might be worth looking up.

There is Jumirah Carlton Towers, on Sloane Street which is currently being refurbished but due to open ahead of the flower show.

The Millennium Hotel on Sloane Street is not especially special but is a very good location and will have very good views.

For the week of the show, many of the local shops will dress up their shop fronts (www.chelseainbloom.com)
and there will be a buzz around the whole area with some stores doing promotions.

There are also hotels at Chelsea Harbour but that is slightly off the beaten track.

We stayed at the Nadler Kensington last March for a few days and were really happy with it - not near Chelsea but very close to the Tube station (Earl's Court) so really convenient. Also close to a Marks & Spencer's food hall which was super-handy and meant we could grab food/snacks easily rather than eating out all the time. They also have different locations around town, so they may have something closer to your location.

Jon and I have stayed in a couple of average ones near Victoria Train Station. The hotels in London tend to be expensive and cramped....ours came with an okay breakfast included.

I loved the location though - walk to the Thames, Westminster, Buckingham Palace/Hyde Park/short bus ride to West End, and close to the train network.

If you want to drop some cash for a fantastic boutique hotel in Mayfair, I highly recommend the Dukes Hotel, in whose bar Ian Fleming is said to have come up with "shaken, not stirred."

We stayed at the Park Grand Paddington Court on Devonshire Terrace for ten days last summer. Very good location, close to Hyde Park and a couple of tube stations.

I saw several recommendations for the Lime Tree Hotel on the Rick Steves travel forum. It's in Belgravia, so near the flower show. (Haven't stayed there myself, just passing along recos from other travelers.)
