Accessorizing dress for summer wedding

Hello to all!

I'm a petite X-shaped hourglass with bit of midriff issues (overall 6-8 dress size).

I bought this dress for a summer outdoor wedding. It would be a mid-day wedding.

Was wondering what accessories go well with this dress...

Right now, plan to wear with dressy clogs (pewter/tan color).

The link worked for me. It is a stunning dress and looks like it would flatter many people. I like the idea of a metallic shoe with the champagne color. I would let whether the dress reads more "yellow" or "grey" determine the metallic shade. If the dress reads close to white or ivory, you could also add a bright color for your accessories if that was more your style. That said, the shoe you linked to is a bit casual for the dress and the occasion to my eye. If you have lots of constraints in service of comfort, I totally understand and vote comfort so you can enjoy the event. If there are more stones to be unturned in search of both style and wearability, I say go for it. The heels need not be high, but just a bit more elegant. Perhaps strappy sandals or even a pump.

The dress is lovely, but for me it is too close to bridal color., since the entire dress is that color. There are many variations on " champagne" as a clothing color, and this one reads very pale. I would.keep.looking. Good luck!

I like how the model has the big earrings and bracelet. On the other hand the neckline is great for a necklace. Are you shopping for more or have you got something special to bring out for the occasion?

That dress could stand up to a cobalt shoe. Or a persimmon. Or lavender. Esp if you had a jewelry accessory in a related color.

I think I agree with unfrumped that the dress looks a bit too much like the bride might. It's lovely, though.

It's a beautiful dress but it does look very bride-like. Are you sure this won't compete? You could easily accessorize it but I'd be afraid to go with this color/style to a wedding. I returned a similar lace dress that I considered for a wedding because it was so body con and I felt like I'd feel a little too much like a part of the bridal party with so much lace.

The dress is lovely, and the shoes are pretty. However, I'd be afraid of competing with the bride, due to the color and style of the dress. Also, as much as I like the shoes, I don't think I'd pair those shoes with that dress. But that may be just my tastes, ya know?
