Accessories Challenge 1: Brooches or Buttons?

Dear Fabbers,
This is the first accessories challenge outfit. I wear a black wool cardigan (Alpha Studio) with black satin trousers (Escada) and red pumps (Zara), I added a pink silk neckerchief (Hermès) and six large brooches (outlet find) that are supposed to imitate buttons. Red vintage handbag. Red lipstick and nail polish to complete the look.
The challenge here: to use this set of brooches, which I have not used yet. Bought a whole bunch of them in different colors in an outlet to play with different combinations. The placement here is not ideal, I was not very thorough ....
The outfit is for future reference - maybe for a weekend dinner or for fun. Too crazy for work.
What do you guys think?

I wish I had the necessary time and energy to join your accessories challenges, as I love accessories. However, I will be very busy for the next month or so, but when I have a few minutes I will enjoy following yours and other fabbers thread on these subject and hope to pick up some new-to-me ideas.

Here are a few ideas for these cute brooches if they don't have to be used as buttons. You could:
- Place a group of three (forming a triangle) near your shoulder
- Wear one on the sleeve of your blazer/cardigan/blouse/pullover, close to your wrist
- Place 3-6 of them across a shawl/wrap
- Wear one or more fastened to a hat, i.e. a beret

So fun!!:-) You could place them obviously 3 of the same color down one side and 3 the other, too-and what if placing them ON middle of a white top underneath to bring out colors even more!!

Love how you're having fun and being so creative with your style! Just an idea that sprung to mind: what about adorning the fluffy brooches on your shoulders, to create a military / uniform effect?

Fun! I don’t know how they pin or clip on, but can they be affixed at the cleavage point of a shoe? Also, along the handle of a cross body (or other bag) that has holes in the strap for making adjustments?
