I popped into a Marshalls last night on my way to an event, to scope out the bath & body products (they often have my favorite facial moisturizer on discount), and passed this Blank NYC skirt. The tag says size 28/6, so I very nearly kept walking. But since it was very much like what I envisioned when we were talking about my old denim skirt, I thought I'd go ahead and take a chance on it.
Well, here it is, with only the most basic level of styling -- tee and heeled sandals. I gotta say, I like it better than my old one. The fading on the thighs, which I was worried might have an unflattering effect, actually works, I think, and the length is a little longer, which I like. I'm a little shocked it fits. The waist is a tad snug, but it's quite stretchy so it gives, and I would never wear it with a top tucked in anyway, so no fear of muffin top.
Second set of photos are of my old skirt, for comparison. What do you think?
