about red shoes

So I have a pair of red ecco sneakers that I love, but am wearing so much that I needed to clean them. Got them clean but the toe area is "fading"...I know I need some red shoe polish...I usually use a meltonian type cream polish on my leather shoes, but have not yet found a nice true red in the meltonian. For all you with red shoes--any help would be appreciated!

I don't know if this would work in your instance, but I have some grey boots that I wear a lot, and they were looking all dry and faded. I put some leather conditioner on them, and voila, they looked brand new.

I would try leather conditioner first. If that doesn't work to your satisfaction, do you have a shoe repair store near you? Those speciality stores seems to have all the colors I need. Colors you won't find at department stores and the like.

If you want to dye the discolored part yourself, you might try Fiebings and Tarrago leather dyes. Both are good products and easy to use. Tarrago probably has a better range of colors.
