I asked for makeup advice in this thread: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....eup-advice, so I thought I'd post about my first real foray into wearing a full face of makeup and what I wore. I just saw the official pictures from the wedding and I'm very pleased with the way the makeup turned out, though it is a heavier look than I would sport for day to day. As someone with darker skin than the default that makeup seems to be made for (which is a topic in and of itself), I'm always on the lookout for suggestions that would work for my skintone, so I thought I'd list what products I used in case it might help someone here.
Olay regenerist regenerating serum (I wear this every day)
Smashbox Photofinish face primer (Nordstrom sample)
Dolce and Gabbana The Lift Foundation in bronze (Nordstrom sample)
Trish McEvoy Instant Eye lift in shade 2 (undereye concealer/illuminator)
The body shop concealer pencil in shade 04
Trish McEvoy lash curling mascara in jet black
Revlon colorstay pencil eyeliner in sapphire (top lash ine)
Covergirl perfect blend pencil in black-brown (bottom lash line)
L'oreal HiP studio secrets purple metallic shadow (for eyelid)
Trish McEvoy 24-hour eyeshadow and liner in Topaz (for browbone)
Lush liquid lipstick in passionate
Trish McEvoy beauty booster lip gloss in sexy petal
Whew, that was a lot! And as usual I messed up the mascara and got it everywhere and had to wipe it all off and start over again. I also wasn't quite sure about the match of the D&G foundation to my face, as it was a sample that just came in a big stocking of samples, not at all tried on my face.
I'm now back to my original program of not wearing any makeup...but it was fun to have an excuse to play with colors!
