A trip to Portuguese stores!

Angie you asked us to be your eyes, so I took some photos..
Here it's all about bold colors and bold mixes.
A lot of red (which I love) with blue and white.
A LOT of nude shoes and nude sandals!

Sihaya,
El corte Ingles is a spanish huge store which sells all major brands (designer clothes and others)!
It near my work!
They have not only clothes, but also, make-up, shoes, bags, everything you can imagine to decorate your house.. well.. it's heaven!

I used to work at ECI and it was amazing. I could find anything and everything there.
What brands are those?
Can I ask you a special favour?I used to love the Massimo Dutti, LA and Sacoor . Can I get one pic of one of those windows?Pretty please....(That's the kind of things I miss from Portugal)

Celia, I love shopping at Dutti too when I'm in Lisbon. Rute - we will definitely have to make a date this time I'm there. Either in El Corte Ingles or at Rua Augusta where we can hit even more shops including my favorite little boutique place there.

WOW, those colors are gorgeous. I am not a color blocking fan for myself, but I would mix some of those with white or gray for Spring !! I loved the teal and the deep purple, in particular.

We are very controled in the way we dress (and everything else) but I do start to see so many young people dresses with a lot of color blocking!

Now that Sinead talked about it, I'm thinking of the contrast between what you showed in your pictures and the much more conservative colors and clothes we usually see people wearing in Lisbon.
Do you feel that your style at this moment(wich is fab, by the way) reflects how people dress in Lisbon or do you feel you dress up a little bit more ?
I'm asking this because I personally feel that usually portuguese people tend to dip very carefully into trends and are not very trendy. (I'm portuguese and love to be it)
Since coming to Canada I have the feeling that people here are not so afraid to experiment with trends or colors.
What are your feelings about this?

We are very conservative but I really notice that young people are so much more trendy! I see so many colorblocking in the streets, cropped pants, harem pants, leather pants, long dresses.
My generation have see a lot of trends come and go, so I guess they prefer to incorporate trendy pieces in classic outfits that they know will last for more than just a season!
