I recently ordered 2 pairs of boots from Nordstrom. One is black (no surprise there!) that is a bit dressier than the one I bought during NAS, mainly due to the more slender heel. It's sleek yet the zipper adds a bit of interest. It fits well and is comfortable (I ordered a half size up due to the pointy toe) so it's a keeper. It looks really pretty in the grey suede too.

The second is a burgundy- they call it chianti- from Isola, a new to me brand. I have a pair of burgundy boots in suede that I will wear for another season but I really wanted leather. And there is something about a lace up boot that really appeals to me. The leather is really beautiful and it fits but it really creases across the top. I guess most leather shoes will do that, at least eventually, but this one just seemed excessive so, sadly, I am going to return it. I'll keep looking but it's not a have-to-have item so I want it to be just right.
