A tale of three dresses

I'm finding that throw-on dresses have become my best friend. I told my DH I was just going to sleep in my work clothes so I could just get out of bed and leave in the morning! Here are three I found to try at Piperlime:

BCBG snake print dress - this is going back but it is FAB and also the most expensive of the lot. If it was not so long and nightgownish I would keep it. Someone here should get it!

Tinley Road zig-zag dress. I think I'm keeping this unless I hear otherwise. It's comfy, easy, and the material is heavy but stretchy.

Velvet faux-shredded dress. This looked RATE and shredded online but it's actually part of the pattern in a trompe l'oeil style. Very lightweight and comfy - not for work but a throw on kind of item that I really could sleep in also. And STRIPED!

Bonus WIW today. BR red tulip hem dress, F21 cropped lace jacket.

Can you belt #1?

#2 is keep 110% looks fab and very flattering.

#3, eh, not loving it but if it is comfy and you like/love it keep it by all means!

I like this formula - dress plus topper!

The zig-zag pattern is stunning on you. Keep! I like the RATE-ish velvet pattern too. Both cuts are flattering to your IT shape.

Chevron dress! You look stunning in it! I actually said Wow! out loud when I clicked on it! We can be chevron cousins (I wore my chevron skirt for my bday).

#1 looks at least two sizes too big for you, and #3 maybe a size too big? Would it be possible for you to size down? I think you are smaller than you think you are. Size dysmorphia? But of the three, #2 looks most like *you* and super fab IMHO; not sure that #1 would look as fab on you even if it were the right size. #2 needs and wants no adornment (more your style), whereas I can see something with #1. Girl, you sure can rock a shift dress!

For fast, fuss-free mornings, DD old preschool teacher would recommend to parents that the dress the kids for morning when they go to bed at night so you are absolutely on the right track!

Ooh, I love #1 the most! And I think the others will style up well. Can you duplicate the BR dress in another color? It is totalsuperfabness.

Yeah, unfortunately #1 is too long but it is a fab dress although I would expect it to be a silk or silk blend for this price, not poly...
#2 is totally awesome and totally you!
Not sure about the shredded but for casual easy-throw-on dress should be OK.
Totally love your work outfit - you glow in this red color!

Una- Tinley Rd. can be your new address. The shape and fit of that graphic black and white dress Is stunning on you. Number one looks too big to my eye also, as does number 3. That said, number 1 doesn't seem completely you somehow. I like #3; would be curious if a size down in it would give you more opportunities to wear it.

That red tulip dress is awesome. Love it on you. You are finding some great items for your new position.

WOWWWWW, 2 is the winner, but love nr 3 as well, and your reds and blacks are sharp!!!
Forget about nr 1...unless you really want it for a reason-then belt is pls!(you have enough of a beautifull clothes-why bother with it?)

I LOVED the chevron dress and the red one. #1 is not the fabbest in my opinion but I quite like #3.

Hahahahaha. Una, a while back I was attending a session where to a child author/psychologist/something was talking about some parenting themes, and one thing popped up: the morning routines and stress, what causes it, how we deal with it, how to minimise it. Long story short, she said that with her daughter it was a major thing to make her put on her clothes in reasonable amount of time and leave the house in time - regardless of when they were waking up. They found a solution in - sleeping in some of her clothes, so in the morning the girl was already half-dressed

So, you're on the right track.

Dresses:
1 - nah
2 - YES
3 - me likes
4 - great outfit

I like #2 and #3 lots! #2 especially is absolutely perfect on you! And so is the red dress!

And I have my kids sleep in their next-day clothes any time we have to actually get up and leave in the morning. It's SO MUCH easier! Haven't tried it myself yet

#2 is great on you! And I love your work outfit, too. You are gorgeous in the red.

I like dress #3 as well for the purpose and can really see how useful something like that would be to me, too. Smart loungewear!

This probably isn't the feedback you were looking for, but #4 (what you already own) is way, way fabber than any of the others! That said, however, the zig-zag dress is a close second. I am not terribly fond of the third, and I have always had an issue with dresses like #1 and how to wear them well, so I won't comment there.

Those are some great dresses!
I share everybody's love for the zig-zags- obviously that one is a super-fab keeper.

I love the dress in #1- just not the fit. Darn! Is that an XS? If you can size down it might make all the difference in the world.

#3 reads like a pretty casual t-shirt dress to me. I like it, but it seems less work appropriate than the others.

ETA: Did you ever try the Alexander Wang black t-shirt dress? I have it and LOVE it. It is just a t-shirt style, but comes off a little dressier since it's black.

I think I love #1, 4, and 2 - in that order. #2 is a little Kate Spade preppy for me and I don't do that anymore.

#3, I don't know why it doesn't do it for me. Maybe because it's blue and we all now know I don't see blues that well.
