It's forever and a day since I've posted a WIW. Like most of us, I've had little reason to dress up and have learned much about dressing simply and for comfort. I'm on team dressy, so this has made it a bit harder to keep my style mojo, but my family is well and full of love, so I found myself reasonably content at the end of 2020.
On Monday, I received notification from my employer that I would be able to schedule an appointment to get the Moderna vaccine. For those of you who don't know me, I work as a music therapist with people with disabilities on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver. (If you ever need information on boots that you can take on or off while holding 7 instruments, or need a bracelet that doesn't scratch your guitar, I"m your girl).
I dressed up a bit for the occasion, wearing my new red moc-snakeskin Lucky booties, Democracy bitty bootcuts (always classic), and a long vest backed with courageous blooms!
The shot was painless and I've just got a slight headache tonight. I am aware that so many are waiting, but I am so grateful to know that my clients -- several of whom are really struggling -- will have services that help them live more fully because I and people like me can travel to our clients' homes safely. I hope everyone who wishes to be vaccinated gets their approval very, very soon -- and just maybe someone else will pull on their red boots to celebrate!
