My 18-year-old has worked at Banana Republic since September. Earlier this week he came home and handed me a bag with one of their brand new items, a military jacket, saying he thought it looked like me and wanted me to have it. He wouldn't let me reimburse him, but I think he felt as good about giving as I did about receiving. It's nice to surprise people we care about sometimes with something unexpected, and I'm going to pay it forward with someone else.
