Just like buying a bunch of "miracle products" will not magically reset the clock back 20 years...
Buying a bunch of classic clothes is not going to magically give me a career.
Buying a bunch of gear is not going to magically eliminate my commute so I can bike an hour every morning.
Buying a bunch of festival things is not going to magically make DH enjoy camping, drumming, and dancing round a fire circle.
Buying a bunch of holiday dresses is not going to magically make me want to go out when it's cold and dark outside.
Buying a bunch of bikinis and sarongs will not magically give me a quiet, tourist free beach in summer.

Aw, I hear you have on wanting to wave a wand & make it so!
For some of these, getting the right wardrobe/gear can be a huge step in the direction you want to go.
Besides biking gear, what else do you need to do for the ride to work to happen? To find a safer route? A place to wipe off with moist towelettes and change?
For outdoor socializing, what else is missing?
Are there solstice celebrations there? Over here, the biggie is on Brocken Mountain, but there are lots of other gatherings of women outdoors, around a fire, to sing and dance and leap over the fire and celebrate the return of the sun. I bet you’d enjoy one. It’s a winter festival.

ETA Christmas markets also call themselves winter festivals, but they’re mich more centered on the commerce, and can turn kitchy pretty quickly. A solstice celebration sounds more in line with Rainbow Family kind of gatherings and the festivals you mention.

Oh riding to work is not a possibility. I have 30 lbs of stuff to carry between 2 offices- and the farther one is 20 miles away. I used to ride each morning in summer when I was able to wfh though and it was the best part of my day. I fully intend for my next work situation to be wfh, self employment, part time, or outdoors!
There are plenty of events in December, it's just I have no will to go out in the cold and dark! I will happily be celebrating the summer solstice though
ETA- my work bag That doesn't include lunch and purse.

Also....
A closet of Fairewear will not magically lower the entrance fee...nor will a closet of ballgowns
A closet of dancewear will not magically make a bellydance class appear in a town close to me

All so true. Every day so many sale, new arrivals, almost gone, etc. Though I spend too much time looking, I am now resisting buying. On line ordering is just fun and so esy. Also fun when packages arrive.

And a corollary:
Buying something that flatters a model who has a completely different body type than I do, will not change my body type!
