These have been in the window of a local shop for the last few days and I was really attracted to the style so I went and tried them on today. I've been looking for low heeled sandal booties.

Verdict: comfy, well-made,attractive but not for the small-of-ankle.

The leather is really nice, it's the typical glove leather that everybody shoes always uses. The instep actually fit my shallow foot, because there's an elastic band (so it would also fit a high volume foot) and the toe opening is large, like a sandal and not a peep toe. (I personally find larger toe openings a lot more comfy). Unfortunately the ankle is majorly flower-pot on me and my whole heel lifted out as I walked. Even in a half size down (which is what is on my foot in the pic, and is borderline too short) the ankle was huge. SA said this is just how the style is designed but I think someone with a larger ankle would fit it a lot better.

Bummer. But if you have a higher volume foot or larger ankles I think these would be fab. Unfortunately I haven't seen anything else similar (low heel, wide toe opening, soft leather) so far, and the SA at the shoe store also said the style was unique.
