I'm following up on the Olivia Moon lace print jacket I asked about last week. This is the M regular. I actually love it but it is snug in the arms (biceps) and has no stretch. I think the large will end up being too big. (I'm between the 6 and 8 according to the size chart and the M is suppose to fit 8-10 so it must run a little on the small side.) Anyway, I'm just throwing this out there in case anyone else is interested.

The second item (K/R) is the Leith denim vest in M. I like the oversized BF vest look that Angie said is kind of a fringe trend--I think this fits the bill but I'm wondering if my stylings are all right. Opinions welcome.

I like the vest a lot! The jacket is ok, but I think there are better ones out there for you.

I like the vest too, especially with the pink dress.
Kelly, You must have one of your kids take your pictures? I'm having a hard time imagining you using the delay button then making your way across the room on your crutches!

Thanks, Ceit and pil! I like the vest too. These more "fringe" items are a little outside my comfort zone so I wanted to make sure I wasn't making a mistake.

@pil: Just me and the self timer. I have to say, I'm pretty adept on these crutches. I guess these shoulders are good for something after all! I'm going to look like a gorilla by the end of this--LOL!

Too bad about the jacket, but now on to better things. Hope you heal soon; you are incredible for carrying on.....I would stay in bed all day eating bon-bons...

I like the vest a lot and think it is a keeper for your great casual style. You look so healthy for someone on crutches!

Too bad about the jacket! It is lovely. I feel like the vest is too big, but you mentioned you want a BF look so in that case it si the correct size. You styled it right to me!

Too bad about the jacket, but the last think you need is tight arms right now. The vest is very cool. I have no wisdom regarding how to style it, but I think it suits you really well.

LOVE the vest Kelly and I think you've styled it brilliantly. This is a great completer piece for the warm months. Definitely KEEP.

Too bad about the jacket - it's lovely but if the fit is off, no sense in keeping it. Onward!

I got a vest like that this past winter, from Levi's, I wore it all the time. I also wore it over a black moto jacket and got many compliments this way. So I vote keep on the vest.

The lace blazer looks great on you but if the biceps feel too tight, pass. A larger size is not going to fit right elsewhere.

ETA -- and the vest is more a fall/winter/early spring garment for me. It already topped 100 in nearby Sonora on Monday!

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it especially since this is outside my comfort zone. Funny how styles kind of grow on me--I think Denise’s over sized Trucker vest started it all This was one trend that I didn’t think I would try--never say never.

@Isis: Thanks! Believe me, you would get bored eating those bon bons!

@lyn: Glad the magenta works. That dress is the hardest thing for me to wear. This is the first thing I’ve liked over it--my cropped vest looks weird.

@Suz: Aww, thanks. I feel pretty good despite the crutches. I can’t get myself to use one of those electric carts anywhere so I just hoof it. (It’s the only work out I get these days.) I do, of course, make use of my disabled placard. I’m not crazy--I paid $6 for that!

@Nicole: Lol! Thanks for your honesty. I was tempted to size down.

@sarah: Thanks. You are right about the tight arms. I think the vest is a better fit for me anyway.

@BethAnn: Yes! Tight arms are annoying. I know I won’t wear it if it uncomfortable, so back it goes. Thank you--re: the vest. I’m glad they work because those are the kind of outfits that need a topper!

@Shannon: That’s exactly right--the vest is a great completer piece for these plain dresses.

@Denise: Thank you. I was hoping that you would chime in. I couldn’t get that Trucker vest you bought out of my head. I kept thinking it was the kind of piece that would re-fresh some of my summer dresses. When the Leith went on sale I jumped on it. I like that while it is oversized, the style is still on the refined side of RATE and therefore, not too trendy for me. Wow--it’s hot out your way. It’s still been pretty cool here. I’ll be wearing the vest hopefully through the summer or at least until I’m done with the crutches.

The lace print jacket is so cute on you; it's a good style to keep in mind!

The vest is very cool. I like all the ways you've styled it, especially with the the three dresses, as it's more unexpected this way. Each has its draw for me; I can't choose a favorite. But it's good to know you now have a fun styling option for the magenta one, if that one has been a challenge for you!

That lace jacket is very pretty - have you tried the lace sleeved moto already that Shevia and Shannon have? I think that is also very pretty.

I like the longer vest - it seems more modern right now. I think you've styled it well with all of those outfits really.

You must be getting all buff from using crutches, hence the snugness in the sleeves! Love the vest and seems like a perfect topper for your style-most definitely keep!
