I got a grey poncho made for me by this seller, and I adore it:

Basically a big square knit but in an ubersoft fabric and made to the length I wanted. I should post a pic- it's perfect for office or travel in place of a shawl and has a great asymmetric drape.
ETA: Pic of poncho - it's long but I wanted it that way for plane travel and couch coziness. Today, I actually happened to be wearing the Joie tunic I used to measure the longest point I wanted for the poncho, so here's a bonus WIW.
