Jules, honestly a safari in Africa wasn’t even in my top five bucket list items, but the opportunity came up and we decided to jump on it, and we loved it way more than we expected to. This trip was initiated as a benefit for an organization called Dazzle Africa — we raised funds for anti-poaching efforts, and community development in the town of Mfuwe, near South Luangwa National Park, where we spent 10 days. I highly recommend a trip with this organization if you ever decide to visit this area — this region is pretty much the gold standard for seeing amazing wildlife, and it was actually a very good deal traveling with DA as I believe they get good rates with the Lodge and bush camps. I can’t say enough positive things about the guides and locals who made our experience so meaningful, and some of whom we now count among our friends.
