Wow! Such good ideas!
Suz - cranberry has always been such a good colour for you. I think it will be even more stunning with your silver hair. I like the idea of repeating the colour in a patterned topper, anD since I've retired some tops, I'm in the market. I'm kind of inspired by Mochi's foray into florals and wonder if a top like the one below might be in my future?
Janet - I did think dark hair would be a natural, and agree that blues would work well too. Maybe with my dark wash mini boot cuts and cognac jacket, in the manner of Style Fan's outfit only the accessories (shoes, belt, bag) would be maroon?
Maroon as the cool version of cognac is such a brilliant way to think of this colour, l'Abeille. Cognac is a natural for me because it bookends my hair colour, whereas maroon does not. On the other hand I once had a maroon coloured turtleneck that got a lot of compliments...but my hair was more vibrant in those days. There was contrast, like SF's outfit.
Traci, Viva - I like the idea of a matching lippy. I'm pretty simple with make-up, but do lippy, and Clinique Black Honey might be a good match. Layered over another more pigmented lippy it might gain the presence required? I Love wine polish, but only do tootsies - so they would be hidden.
