A Q about Shoes... Colourblock Sandals?

(Unrelated to shoes: Hey guys! I am back-ish! I had a great trip to England in May but was swamped with work when I got home and haven't gotten back in my WIW photo routine. Luckily I have lots of FFBOs to get me out the door!)

So anyway, the question. After a particularly crummy day I impulse-bought the shoes in #1 - David Dixon for Town Shoes Colourblock Sandals. They are quite comfortable and the ankle strap is in a really flattering spot. I have had a pair of ankle-strap shoes on my wishlist for a while. I wonder, though, if these look current? I may have had my "bad day need shoes" goggles on. I am toying with the idea of black Okalas instead? I do have two pairs of pointy black pumps, though. What do you think?

I say yay, if you are looking to bare your toes a little. The Okalas won't accomplish that, as fab as they are. These are a different look, with the more substantial heel, but they look stylish to me.

I concur with Firecracker, I think the closed toe is a totally different look ... also, I'm smitten with your new colour block sandals!

Welcome back, Emily! Just yesterday I was wondering about you and how your trip was.

I like the colorblock sandals a lot. I think they are trend (but this is coming from someone who is very untrendy!). I think that if you already have some pointy-toed black heels, the Okala might be an unnecessary duplication.

I love the two-tone sandals that are out right now, but something about these doesn't look "current" to me, like you said. I think its the white stack heel, seems a bit old-ladyish. For the two-tone sandals I like the flat ones that Clarks have right now... something like these...

Great to hear from you, Emily! I think these chunky heels are current for sure. The Okalas are a completely different look. Can you justify both?

I spied these guys in your WIW photo today and thought they were the DD colourblock sandals! I tried them on myself but the ankle strap didn't work for me - I was so sad because they are gorgeous. The photos don't do them justice IMO because they don't really capture the texture of the while heel and strap as nicely as it looks in person. I think they're fabulous and I vote keep!
