Will be interesting for you to hear what the men think of the headline and what follows.

I think they would be reading the article expecting some answers or rules but you have very cleverly told them that they are actually able to affect a younger look and that they should go for it.

You will be bashing the men's mags away with a stick soon.(as we say in Australia - on Australian movies anyway)
Cheers

Loved it!
I am proud of you

wonderful writing, Angie! Congratulations

That's so exciting Ang!

congratulations! what an honor to be asked. the article was great, and i look foward to following the debate that will follow.

Hurray, Angie, well done!! In my opinion, age appropriate dressing has always been the most controversial topic on the forum and you handled it beautifully! Here's to more of Angie in the NYTimes!

Just saw the piece today...congrats on the exposure.

I read it and it was excellent. I will not hear you talking about not being a writer. (I'm not sure if I'm remembering you correctly as having said this--I have this impression). You are just too succinct and articulate!

I really liked your interpretation of the issue, compared to some of the other writers.

That's super, Angie!
Well written and excellent advice as always!

As always, you showed great sense and great sensibility! Mr. Suz also loved it, by the way. We both agreed you were the smartest of the bunch.

Nicely done! I enjoyed your opinion (the most of course!) and the other views as well.

Congrats Angie - wonderful article. I loved the description of VS, his moto and his geek glasses.

Many, many thanks for ALL your awfully kind words and good wishes. I'm touched. The whole thing was very unexpected and happened in less than a day.

Shevia, you are pure therapy. Hugs to you.

Suz, so are you. And I'm blushing that Mr. Suz got a glimpse of the article.

Mary, Laura, Velvety, Nancy and Vildy - super sweet comments. I appreciate them.

Angie just hopping in. I plan to use the "Do you feel like a grown-up" with my lad the next time he needs non-gear.

I read your piece to Mr. K. I am trying to get across to him that golf shirts are not the only the shirts that are sold. Hopefully he got the point.

Congratulations!
It is wonderful to see your wise words reach an even broader audience.

Congrats Angie! Really great article.

Congratulations Angie! What a well deserved milestone for you.

Also wanted to add that I love that you are true to yourself in the article - it's exactly what I'd expect you to say based on the forum. Also, I love that you're getting recognition as an expert in your field and you're still so down to earth and accessible on forum/IRL.

Well done, Angie!

Congratulations! That is so awesome!

Just read through the original Details article and the responses. Very thoughtful, straightforward advice Angie -- well done!

Excellent piece and I confess to a chuckle when I pictured my own father in a Vidal Sassoon get up. You are so brave - you revealed your age in black and white. In the New York Times. I salute you!

Tell me what hubs says, Dana.

Thank you all so much for the very sweet words and nice wishes.

Sylvia, that was a really kind thing to say. Thank you.

Debbie, your dry sense of humour cracks me up. I enjoyed my chuckle.

Nicole D, our age is just a number. It is what it is. When we look into the mirror, that's our age. All ages are fab, and we can have fun with fashion at any age.

I loved your piece and of the other commentators too. I hope you do a piece on YLF about " man on the go" and "business/professional man on the go" as well someday.

Holy Bucket List Fashion Guru!!!! Congrats on this HUGE milestone! I am always struck by your common sense approach to seemingly difficult issues. Well deserved recognition is always so nice to see.

Congratulations on being included in the article in the NYT. That is a great way to have your name and face out there along with your spot on opinion on age appropriate dressing. Even though this article was written for men I am going to use the question for myself, do I feel grownup in this? I love it.

Just the best. Realistic, centered, fun.

Fab! Angie, your writing style is wonderful. Always so clear and vivid. We talk so much about fashion around here, it is easy to neglect to comment on how well you communicate your thoughts. I am always impressed by your writing.
