I've been looking for the "right" jeans for a very long time. I like a higher rise, and i'm afraid of veering into 'mom jeans'. I have no patience for trying on millions of jeans at a mallful of stores. So i went to a premium denim store, "Denim Bar", expecting some professional help with this.
-First of all, they "don't do boyfriend jeans." ...What? ok, let's try on a regular fitting (snug) pair. I tell her my size is 28, and she brings a pair to try on. "No. That's baggy," she says. REally, i always wear this size. maybe that's my problem, i think. She brings a 27. I've got to really suck it in to zip them, but i'm in. "That's better, but you could use a 26." ....! LIke a sheep, a try them on, and cant get them zipped up without a pair of pliers and a hard surface to lean on. "That's how they should fit."
...so i leave, with all my money still with me, and no jeans....
i guess i'm going to the mall.
Does anyone else remember when all it took was a pair of dark blue levi's and a hot bathtub to get the right fit?
