Last week I bought several items at Nordstrom and the SA asked if I wanted to make it a triple rewards day (I did!). Between then and now, I decided to return most of it but learned that my rewards points would go heavily negative if I did the return to my Nordstrom card. I ended up doing the return to my debit card, which went directly to my checking account, and I was able to pay my Nordstrom card bill from that. Just thought I'd pass this workaround along in case anyone else didn't know the "dangers" of returning double/triple point purchases.
